The fifth annual DesignLights Consortium™ Stakeholder Meeting is a unique opportunity for professionals from all sectors of the lighting industry to come together and delve into issues affecting solid state lighting (a technology that is constantly evolving) while gaining an understanding of DLC’s scope and influence in the marketplace.
Highly regarded experts in their fields will lead and participate in sessions that cover a range of current topics affecting the solid state lighting industry. The meeting will facilitate working relationships and further common understanding among lighting professionals, DLC Members, and stakeholders. Networking will be a central objective of the meeting, and the agenda offers pre-conference workshops, educational opportunities, and focused networking sessions, in addition to informal networking opportunities.

Understanding scope and impact of the DLC program is essential to develop specifications that ensure quality LED products are available in the marketplace. DLC Members and Stakeholders will have the opportunity to discuss the DLC processes and developments that inform market introduction and the shape of SSL technology in the future.

DLC Members, who are regional, state, utility, and energy efficiency programs throughout the U.S. and Canada, will be present to interact with their peers and other stakeholders in the lighting industry. Learn about each other’s energy efficiency programs and exchange lessons learned.
Interact with industry stakeholders.
Stakeholders from across the industry will participate in exchanges on neutral grounds during panel discussions, concurrent sessions, and structured and informal networking times.

Being part of a panel will allow you to share your knowledge and expertise with others in the SSL industry, while providing visibility to your programs.
Attend Breakout Sessions.
DLC staff will address a small audience to answer questions about specific topics ranging from DLC applications, to logo guidelines, to lighting design.
Attend CEU courses and workshops.
On the day before the conference, CEU courses and workshops will be offered for no extra cost. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about specific topics not addressed on the meeting agenda.
Participate in Structured Networking.
Structured Networking consists of small group meetings between individual manufacturers and utility program administrators. The sessions are aimed to increase understanding between the utility programs and manufacturers in order to maximize the value of incentive programs and leverage market opportunities. Space is limited. Sponsors of the meeting have priority in the selection process for participation.
